Versailles at the Blackfriars

The 2012 Staunton Music Festival Summer Sounds concludes with a spectacular evening of French music at the famed Blackfriars Playhouse. The only re-creation of Shakespeare's indoor theater provides perfect backdrop to this program of French baroque chamber works. Vocal and instrumental works by Rameau, Lully, Charpentier, Leclair, Marais, Couperin and more. Internationally acclaimed musicians perform.
