Cody Purvis

Eighteen year old Cody Purvis first earned his recognition as an emerging country music artist when he clinched the title of the local 2010 Colgate Country Showdown. Soon after taking that title, Cody experienced Nashville's music scene first-hand when the house band invited him onstage to sing. Turns out that was just the beginning of Cody's performances in Nashville. He performed at two different venues during CMA Fest 2011 and is scheduled again this summer.

Since recording his first album in… Show more Nashville in February 2012, Cody can now be referred to as Charlottesville's very own Nashville Recording Artist. His energy and charisma, along with his deep, soulful, resonant voice brings each song on the album vividly to life. While his solid collection of classic country and new country songs showcase his skills as a vocalist, his delivery seems effortless.

With such influences as Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Toby Keith, Jamey Johnson, and Chris Young, it's no wonder Cody's style attracts crowds of all ages.
